On The Farm

This past weekend, Jason and I took the train up to Blue Hill at Stone Barns in Tarrytown for the annual sheep-shearing festival. Having never been to such an event, I couldn’t wait to experience all that Stone Barns had to offer, especially spending time in the country.

My friend Chris works with the livestock over there (the cows below are his newest project), so not only did I get to see parts of the farm that you normally might not, but I also even got to help migrate the cows over to the next pasture. Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the day.

Cows that were just brought in from Montana

Running the sheep from the barn to the pasture

A breeding boar named Napoleon.

We couldn't stop laughing at this little charmer

A smoked pastrami sandwich...so good!

The black lamb (1st one born out of 500), he was quite taken with Jason
